The Real World

Message received: Hey, how you doing?

Reply sent: I'm fine, how about you?

But what you don't see, is her puffy, red eyes,

From all the crying she's been doing lately. 

Message received: What have you been up to?

Reply sent: Not much, just bored really.

But what she doesn't want to tell you, is that

She's exhausted from the day's work and just wants to go to sleep.

Message sent: Hey, I really need your help, could you text me back ASAP?

Two hours go by, there is no reply,

You're in your head, wondering why? He probably doesn't want to help, 

He's definitely ignoring me, its not fair, I'm always there for him.

But what you don't know is, his phone's simply dead, wait a while, don't let your head swim.

So what you read on chat, isn't what you should always believe,

The phone's artificial, you're hidden behind a screen,

Like gold in Royal water, the problems of the real world, 

Many times, dissolve into nothing.
