Silent Steps
The path she’s on. Burning embers mark the cobbled stone way, A bed of thorns waits to greet her. Bloodied souls of the young, Crimson footprints in the dust. Short-lived bursts of bright face Decomposing into sombreness. The bad outshines the portal to sunset glory Oranges and purples to greys and darkness. Internal death through loneliness, through sadness. The world must be shown Bright expressions, peals of laughter. Sour faces, silent traces Are lonely ever afters.
