You’ve Got Us.

Image
Image Credits: Caption Status  I know you have days, When you feel like you may explode. When your mind is suffocated, And your body can’t take it anymore. Your thoughts, your greatest enemy, An internal battle with your demons, No one to talk to, no one who cares, On your own in a world, where everyone’s moved ahead.  Lying in bed all day, Shutting off from everything may seem the only way out. It’s crushing, When the only thing you can do, is feel so low. But don’t hide away, Say what’s on your mind, We don’t have a magic wand to wish away your troubles, But we’ll do our best, to stop them from staying. You’ve got us, we found you, Through the summer and cold, we’ll be there for you. Life's a mess at times, it’s true, So, let’s stand by each other, and stick together, In this world full of uncertainty, at least we can count on one another.

Today.

Image Credits: Times of India Its three AM, they're gasping for breath, If they can hold out, It won't be their last time yet.  You're lucky to keep you're hearing, In the haunted spaces filled with shrill calls of machines. They close down food, they've failed at stability, You could be starving,  And they wouldn't give a damn. Authorities, covering up what they've damned.  Who is at fault? who else is to blame? Send us into frenzies, Intimidate us with cave-man clubs,  To accomplish your own gains,  And to us mere mortals,  Living each day as it comes, It's hard to keep our sanity,  When deaths, decisions, insecurity, A dancing plague in our heads.   No, I don't want to be history.  But everyday it's so hard to breathe. I don't want my life snuffed out of me, I have so much to live for, And yes, I know they did too.

Clandestine

Image
Image Credits: Reddit When the sparkling glow of the moon, Runs its fingers through the locks of the trees, And the diamonds in the sky, Befriend the shadows lurking in the night.  In the hush, she emerges, Clandestine being, No footprints left behind, As she glides across the forest floor. And in her wake,  A thousand fireflies, light up the path she's trodden.     Flickering yellows, The forest floor, now golden. The birds, the flowers, the wolves, Awaken at her approach. She's one with them, And they know, their space, she will never encroach.  In the real world,  Her existence unknown to common man, You may pass her by a million times,  Yet she shivers, alone and cold.  But a s she glides across the forest floor, She has nothing to be afraid of. And even though the cold wind of darkness embraces her,  Her soul is filled with a fire burning within.

The Real World

Message received: Hey, how you doing? Reply sent: I'm fine, how about you? But what you don't see, is her puffy, red eyes, From all the crying she's been doing lately.  Message received: What have you been up to? Reply sent: Not much, just bored really. But what she doesn't want to tell you, is that She's exhausted from the day's work and just wants to go to sleep. Message sent: Hey, I really need your help, could you text me back ASAP? Two hours go by, there is no reply, You're in your head, wondering why? He probably doesn't want to help,  He's definitely ignoring me, its not fair, I'm always there for him. But what you don't know is, his phone's simply dead, wait a while, don't let your head swim. So what you read on chat, isn't what you should always believe, The phone's artificial, you're hidden behind a screen, Like gold in Royal water, the problems of the real world,  Many times, dissolve into nothing.   P.S: These ...

Poets and Poetry

Image
Image Credits: Wallace Chuck This poem was written based on the YouTube video, "Rhyme and Reason: The Power of Poetry" . Their words like fluid,   Across whiteness of page,   Their speech, clear symphonies, Across an arena of ears.  The woman,  Her thoughts raw, unfiltered, The man, A tone milder, set in ink.    True blasphemy!  Her words like needles piercing the ears, A beau character!  His words, more agreeable to us all.   Oh woman, why should we,  The more powerful sex, Belittled into silence and obedience, Not cover these lines with our truth?   The "too- cool" blokes upon chance ask, "Can you say anything good about a man"? Well, Mr.Manly-Man, Earn your compliments, then we can.     So, let man's writing be "gentler",  Let his words, welcomed by all, Not deter us from our honesty.  This man, pure or not, cannot determine our worth.    Three poets, with witty and brilliant mind's eye, Yet h...
